  6. Hey, there is a very similar dish that we have in Greece and we call it kayanas. The only difference is that we make it like an omelette, so we beat the eggs before we cook them. Delicious recipe.

  7. Very nice. To pick up more of that grill flavor, could grill the halved veggies before dicing and adding to the pan.

    Also, how did you smoke the garlic? Cold smoke?

  10. Very interesting recipe; just one question: what kind of bread were you using as a side of egg and vegetables at the vowl? Looks to me it was some flour tortilla… is’t it?

  11. Aaaah, I really like Huevos Rancheros (Mexican twin sister of Shaksuka)!!!!!! Breakfast menu no 1!!!!!! I always add chilies/peppers and no cayenne but hey, the heat must come from different sides, so next time BOTH!! Roel, Thanks for again a wonderful meal.

    . . . no more ideas? this story has got nothing to do with pit / grilling environment and could be performed in a standard indoor cooking environment exactly the same way. . . none the less – the recipe is a nice example and also to my taste !

  18. Ha… Eggs not too well works for me. I do Shaksuka and its variations like huevos rancheros since a couple of years and I still like it… some kind of standard dish. Thumbs up!
