2 salmon fillets with skin (about ¾ lb. / 340 g, skin will hold the flesh together while cooking.)
¼ tsp. kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
½ Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. sake (or dry sherry)

  4. I just use sugar, black pepper, soy sauce, sometimes garlic powder, sometimes ginger powder. Sometimes i add diced onions.
    But recently, ive just been using the pre made stuff. Its just convenient. Then i throw in shrimp, & vegetables. If theyre around.

  8. Tip – instead of Sake or Mirin I've discovered cheap vermouth from your local Aldi or Lidle. It doesn't have that hard wine taste, is cheaper than sherry and I have no interest in drinking it! 70cl bottle of extra dry vermouth can be bought for like 6 bucks ne!

    I made this many times but using Rice wine because I don't have Sake. I also omitted salt on fish because the sauce turned so salty. So easy and so delicious my family loves it especially my picky little ones. Tonight, I'll try it using Sake for the first time.

    This was delicious! I didn't have mirin or sake so I just did
    4 tablespoons of cooking sherry
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    2-2 1/2 tablespoons sugar

  34. I made this yesterday and it tasted amazing. I tried so many recipes this is the best recipe for me. The salmon is so moist I never use flour to cover salmon before pan fried and never use sake when pan fried salmon too. But this both technique made a huge different to my salmon and your teriyaki sauce is the bomb. But I grated a little bit of ginger and garlic. All in all I am so happy with salmon teriyaki because it tastes so scrumptious 🙂 , thank you so much for sharing.

When I look at your techniques at cutting and compare to myself, it makes me look stupid hehe… But, I'm really glad i saw this channel. I've always wanted to try but I was afraid of failure and that people would not like to eat my food so i always ask if it tastes good. I'm still scared that someone might say its not good but I learned to move on from that and learned that its about what you feel inside that counts.
